PrefaceThank you for your interest. This is the internet site for Monsterpilot. A two person design company operating in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. This website features selected design projects we have created. If you would like to see more projects, or would like more information please contact us. Previously (our 2007 website) we started to write a detailed account of our thoughts on design and our process. At the moment we have decided to abandon it. Everything changes at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to try to put everything into writing in a way that would be understandable. It is something that we will revisit in the future. For nostalgia we have included a link to a revised version of it: Information (Rev. 02). Monsterpilot |
AboutMonsterpilot is Brian Ho Sang and Liz Lubanska. We have been working under the name Monsterpilot since 2007, in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We create work that employs the design process as means to a solution. We start every project the same way; with a pencil. It is our love of design and the implementation of the design process itself that has given us the opportunity to create work for a wide variety of clients, both at locally and abroad, and we've even been fortunate enough to receive a few accolades along the way. The design process allows us to approach and evaluate projects objectively, distill our ideas and create solutions that communicate the intended message in a appropriate and clear manner. Substance over style; if the message is lost then what purpose can it serve? Most of our work is printed matter, with a focus on branding / identity and communications. We say this contrary to the fact that we feel that we should not try to categorize ourselves, we are designers in the traditional sense, and can create anything that needs to be designed on any medium. |
ColophonThis is the third version of the Monsterpilot Internet site. (No more flash please). Just like the very first version of our website this one was created using cartridge paper, some H pencils, and apple computers. The site is created with HTML using CSS. It also uses frames. It is best viewed on any modern browser that supports frames with the font Helvetica installed. If you have a mouse with the capability of lateral scrolling it would be perfect for navigating this site. If not you can always use the right and left arrow keys on your keyboard. If you have any accessibility issues or concerns, please conatct us. All images and text are copyright © Monsterpilot 2005-2009. All rights reserved.
